How can I stop emotional eating? Emotional eating is a serious problem for many people. In this fast paced world we live in, so many of us are put under tremendous stress. This stress often leads to emotional eating. Many people binge eat when they are under stress. If you have ever gotten out the bag of chips and sat there and ate the whole bag without even realizing it, you are probably an emotional eater. Emotional eating usually consists of eating starchy, high carbohydrate foods which have a comforting effect. Eating does temporarily makes us feel better, but it doesn’t solve the problem which is causing it.
